Whereas Theme Hospital was a silly and funny business sim in a hospital setting, Hospital Tycoon is an abysmal third rate soap opera that tries so very hard to be hilariously self-ironic and charmingly silly yet failing painfully on both accounts. This is a game that thinks it'll have you in stitches, but you'll be shaking your head in exasperation instead. Gameplay wise it fails also, with poor camera controls, utter lack of economic challenge and a The Sims-lite social interaction model that's as fun as a fetid diaper lying out in the summer sun. Best avoided.
